Let’s preserve the Christmas tradition intact

You Will be amazed to recognize how time flies in the blink of an eye. I believe that it was only yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas and today, a good part of the year is over. I loathe it when I see every added wrinkles forming on my face but that serves as an excellent reminder of how age is catching up. Until you decide to interrupt the power of nature by going for such matters as cosmetic surgery, that actually is something that noone can escape from. My dream of course, will be to stay young and look as Martha Stewart but I reckon I need to empty up all my savings in order to manage that.

If there is one part of the year where I appreciate the most, it’ll be Christmas. The pleasant memories that I had back in youth time stays with me even until today and I can’t forget how one gets to love such gay joy as gingerbread biscuits and candy cane sweets only during Christmas. That memories stick with me even till today and it’s something that I am decided to pass down to my next generation.

Christmas - 9

Gift giving is one tradition that consistently makes Christmas so fun. Some individuals refer to me as cheapskate because of the fact that I only shop during the vacation shopping season. What they are normally unaware of is I usually pile up all my savings and spend all of them during the gay shopping season. Not everyone will be capable to develop such habit as there’ll be many temptations that come along the way and some are really irresistible.

One custom that has been passed down from my grandparents’ generation is the practice of putting up Christmas decoration. Merely to put things in appropriate context, I come from a enormous family where my grandparents had 6 kids. Now that all of them are married, half of them are blessed with 3 kids while the other half are blessed with 4 kids. What makes our holiday decoration tradition pleasure is that every year, we will decide one of our houses to function as the site for our family’s Christmas gathering. All the children and members of the families who are capable to make it, will usually come together several weeks before the party itself and they will begin working jointly to put up the decoration. From this alone, I ‘ve dozens of caring memories which are etched within my mind and will continue me for life.

If there’s one thing I am quietly concerned about is the diminishing trend in Christmas cards. I recall that before, all the children in the house would be searching for the postmen who regularly dressed themselves as Santa Claus. We would put all the cards together and after there are enough of them, we’d set it upward and that by itself, is among the best part of our holiday decoration. But now, the tendency is shifting towards ecard and I ‘m someone who’s against the notion. E-card may be convenient and cheap, but the feeling is somehow lost if you ask me.

Most of us normally just begin considering Christmas some time in December and this really is because we are simply too use up with our lives. But I think it’s important for any family to develop a Christmas tradition as it’s the best way of bringing everyone together. If great memory of Christmas is something that is preoccupied in your lifetime, perhaps it’s time to take a moment of pause in your life and think about it seriously. There’s so much that can be done during the joyful season but nothing will happen if you don’t dedicate the efforts.
